Farmer Leroy bought the family farm from his father in 1973. He built a dairy parlor and milked for over 13 years. Looking to expand, he moved the operation to the present location and built a poultry house, machine shop, storage building and silo, and renovated the existing barns.
Today, he and his son-in-law Bryan tend the chickens and care for 140 head of Angus beef cattle, plant and harvest crops, and maintain the pasture and the buildings.

When they have some time off, he and his family enjoy traveling the country and into Canada, though, he admits, they don’t get to go very often.
